*I received these products for free for testing and evaluating purposes. All opinions are my own.*

I remember it only being a few years ago that cooking seemed more like a chore and something that I just didn't get - until I really delved into it and just went for it. Forget wine tasting, Kikkoman tasting should be the new craze!

Among the products that I was able to try for this House Party were:
Kikkoman Orange Sauce

Let me just say this, there was a consistency in the products with this brand, and that was they were all genuinely excellent quality. I prepared one dish for each product tested and threw a great house party to taste test!

As you may have noticed, there were 3 different types of Teriyaki - understandably so. All of these samples are cooked in chicken, except for the Teriyaki Glaze & Baste - which I prepared in steak strips. I broiled the strips for about 7 minutes before then adding the Teriyaki Glaze & Baste for an additional 5-7 minutes. It was simple, but highly effective as my guests fell in love with the melt-in-your mouth juicy flavor that it added to the beef. The smoky flavors compliment beef very well.

My second favorite had to be the Stir Fry Sauce. Again, I refused to use seasonings as I was quite curious of the natural taste of these sauces, but I did add onion slices and green pepper slices since these are complimented well with stir fries, and stuck with using chicken. I just threw it all into a lightly greased pan and fried it up together, adding the sauce right at the end for about 2 - 3 additional minutes to warm up the sauce and really let it sink into the chicken. Again, we were greeted with that melt-in-your-mouth flavor that ignited the taste buds with the vegetables.

Kikkoman [All Purpose] Soy Sauce is one of the two that were already a favorite of our family and one of our favorite meals consists of soy, Texas Pete hot sauce, and chicken. No one can quite make it like my fiance. Cut up the chicken, boil, then sear in those two ingredients and you have a meal made in heaven when you add rice to soak up the soy flavors. It never tastes quite the same with any other soy sauce we've tried. I do know that they also sell it in low sodium options too!

The other familiar Kikkoman product that we have sworn by is Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce. For this particular house party, I did slightly regret trying this particular sauce with chicken. While it was still tasty, it just works better with a beef flavor profile. I have sworn by this Teriyaki for steak strips in the past and even just adding that extra melt-in-your-mouth and you-will-remember-this flavor to a thick, juicy steak. It has that highlight of flavor that will sink into the meat and indulge every taste bud.

The Kikkoman Original Teriyaki Sauce wasn't too bad either, it felt more organic as it had sesame seeds already floating in it and understandably, it was thicker than the marinade. This one actually complimented the chicken quite well, unlike the marinade. Though, the flavors were not as strong with this one and felt as though additional need for seasoning would be required to really bring out its potential. While okay on its own, it just didn't quite soar as high as the others.

While most of the others were broiled chicken or pan fried, I did choose to try two in a deep fry. I filled up a pot of oil, got it going hot, and dropped a few cubed hand-fulls of chicken in the pot. After one good portion was brought out, I mixed it up with the Sweet & Sour Sauce and none of us were disappointed in the choice! The sweet and sour felt like a candy meal that enticed the sweet tooth without causing harm to said sweet tooth (like, I have sensitive teeth). Its a slightly sticky and wonderful mixture of flavor in just one little sauce and it left everyone coming back for more.

The last sauce we encountered was.... Orange Sauce. Orange Sauce left us disagreeing on the flavor. Half loved it, and the other half despised it. I did regret the deep-fry decision, as when I added the sauce afterwards, it was a horrible and sticky mess. I'm not too sure how to describe this flavor other than it may be more complimentary with bird like quail than it would be chicken, and I couldn't see it used with beef. It was one of those strange flavors that we just couldn't pin point.
