I have three dogs, one of which goes on regular trips with us to the mountains every summer to go camping. Her name is Abby, she is a beagle/shepherd mix and weighs about 40-50 lbs. She is a great companion however, we have problems with managing to keep her in the back seat. We also drive a rather small car - a Mini-Cooper. I was privileged to get a chance to test out these amazing seat covers by isYoung.

These seat covers were able to stretch across the entire back seat of the car comfortably and provide a barrier so that it prevents her from jumping over us in the front seat. It is secured by the neck of the front seats and the back seats, creating a protective hammock style that we found was beneficial for Abby and our car. The straps that go on the seats are adjustable to better fit the style of vehicle. The hammock style also now prevents her from ending up in the floor board when hitting the brakes.

The cover is also waterproof, giving me a peace of mind for those long trips if Abby can't hold her bladder and has an accident in the car. It has a nice thick padding for comfort and is easy to clean off. It seems to give her a better grip as well since our seats would otherwise be rather slick, her paws have better traction with the cover on the seats.

One of my favorite features of this particular seat cover is it does actually have latches available underneath that can be secured with the seat belt. I can also easily access the seat belt through a provided slit in the cover to lock them in place. This has helped with accidental sliding when hitting the brakes and help keep Abby in place.

So far this one has held up for 2 long car trips (over 2 hour trips) and its comfortable for all of us. I highly recommend this brand, its good quality and is very sleek.
