I received this Pure Leaf sample box for free for testing purposes from Influenster. All opinions are my own

Here lately, I have found myself partaking in more hot teas since I have made the decision to cut back on soda intake. I have noticed a huge difference in how less sluggish I feel, more bathroom trips, and surprisingly enough, weight loss. While struggling with the mental impairments that I face, I have also found a more stable and calm mindset while drinking hot teas. There's just something.....comforting about it.

I had a chance to taste-test two more types of teas, one of which I have added to my own personal arsenal of relaxation time. Both are from Pure Leaf, which is a popular brand that I have seen in stores. Now while I have tried Pure Leaf Green Tea in the past, it is prepackaged and definitely not a loose leaf brew-style. Also while I have had individual brew types of teas, I have never tried any loose leaf tea like this before nor any with this style of bag.

As you can see, the bags are in the shape of a pyramid, which I actually really like as it seems to set better in my cup and it just seems to make more sense to me than the square bags I normally see. Both types of teas also have a very strong herbal smell to them when I opened the containers.

As for the types of teas I was given, I have one of Black Tea with Vanilla that claims to be a smooth type of Black Tea with real vanilla beans and select leaves that originate from India. The full ingredient list is pretty simplistic and natural: Black Tea, Ground Vanilla Beans, Marigold Petals, and Natural Flavors. Oh and guess what, its even Rain-forest Alliance Certified! Taste wise, I had issues with getting used to it. Black tea is, admit-ably, not one of my selected favorites, but it wasn't too off-putting either. Once brewed though, it smells remarkable.

The other type of tea in my sample box was an ICED tea, Green Tea with Citrus. Now, I LOVE Green Teas and this one takes the cake. Its a simple single cup brew and then ice. Ingredients are still simplistic: Green, Orange Leaves, Rosehips, Citric Acid (Provides Tartness), Dried Orange, Lemon Grass, Natural Flavor, and Licorice Root. Indonesia is the country of choice for the leaves of the Green Tea. I could drift away with this one and have added it to my personal arsenal.

Definitely give these a chance if you're looking for a different kind of tea - especially a more natural alternative.

Mental Health is Not a Competition

I have been wanting to talk about this for a while from consideration of conversations I have had regarding anxiety and mental illness...
